Gulfstream aviation supply takes off

30 November 2016

Gulfstream’s supply of aviation fuel took to new heights recently. The air show at Waterkloof Airforce Base held in September saw Gripen fighter jets and other aircraft powered by jet fuel supplied by Gulfstream.

Following previous ad hoc supply of Jet A-1 and Avgas, supplying an event of this calibre is significant as this segment of our business expands.

Gulfstream’s aviation portfolio received a further boost when it was confirmed that Gulfstream, in a joint venture with Namerc Consulting, will supply Department of Defence key points located in Gauteng for a period of five years with effect from 1 October 2016.

“We are thrilled about the opportunity to extend our footprint in the public sector with the addition of Department of Defence to our portfolio”, says Wynand Scheepers, Aviation portfolio manager at Gulfstream, who was instrumental in securing the supply deal.

Gulfstream has entrenched its credibility in the public sector having gained extensive understanding of processes across government departments.
