Gulfstream Strengthens its Footprint in SA’s Mining Sector

11 August 2016

A year ago Gulfstream made history when we were awarded sole supplier of the Gulfstream Molecule Management Solution to Black Mountain Mining’s Gamsberg Project site.

Responsible for the supply of a full solution, from fuel products through to the delivery and management of a number of elements, it was an industry first allowing us to make inroads into an industry traditionally the stronghold of oil majors.

A year later and we are proud to announce not only the extension of this agreement for a further four years, but also the awarding of Deeps, an additional Black Mountain site. Situated in the Northern Cape Province, Deeps is an underground mine focused on the excavation of zinc, lead, silver and copper.

“South Africa’s mining sector accounts for as much as 27.6% of our country’s GDP (SA Yearbook 2014/2015),” says Shane Jegels, Gulfstream’s Chairman and CEO. “We are proud to contribute to this sector, working closely with Black Mountain Mining as we continue striving to make business easy.”
